Welcome to BEST Community Links

BEST Community Links is BEST Employment's Community Services unit. We deliver a range of community projects and services aimed at alleviating disadvantage and developing our communities.

 

BEST Community Links projects include:

  • Indigenous Community Links (funded by FaHCSIA)
  • Auspicing and provision of governance support to groups and projects such as the Inverell Breast Cancer Support Group, Moree Domestic Violence Group and the Crossing the Divide (Indigenous Youth Project)
  • Linking Together Centre program development and partnerships including the development of a new Centre, Library partnership programs such as the Linked up project (Telstra Grants),
  • Northern Inland Anti-Graffiti Project (Attorney Generals Dept)
  • Work Development Orders
  • Facilitating the Aboriginal Funeral Transport Fund
  • Community access programs such as the Moree Better Access project (funded by ICC) and Warwick Disability Awareness Dinner (Dept QLD Communities)
  • Mental Health Services (including SMART Recovery Workshops, Flood Victims Counselling project (funded by the FRRR)
  • Employee community involvement program – voluntary participation by our staff in committees, groups and events such as NAIDOC, KIN, Anti-Violence committees, Housing Forums, Greater Northern Skills Development Group, Disability services organisations, Regional Development Northern Inland, sporting groups, independent interview panel members for not for profit organisations and many more.
